1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of filterboss.net and the FilterBoss subscription service (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who we are
FilterBoss is operated by Miller Innovation Group (“we,” “us,” or “FilterBoss”). You can reach us at hello@filterboss.net.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.
4. Subscriptions
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the chosen interval (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual) until you cancel.
- Billing. We'll charge your payment method on file at the start of each renewal period. If payment fails, we'll retry and notify you; if it continues to fail, your subscription will be paused until payment is updated.
- Renewal reminders. We'll send you a reminder email before each renewal so there are no surprises.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your account dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access to filters already shipped or scheduled.
5. Pricing, taxes, and shipping
Prices shown at checkout are the prices you pay. Applicable sales tax is added based on your shipping address. Standard shipping is included in the subscription price for the contiguous United States.
6. Professional installation
If you select “Pro Install,” we schedule a certified technician through our partner system (Calendly). Installation appointments are subject to technician availability and your area. You can reschedule from the appointment link in your email up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. No-shows or same-day cancellations may be charged a $25 fee.
7. Refunds and returns
- Filters. If a filter arrives damaged or doesn't fit, email us within 14 days and we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.
- Subscription refunds. Refunds for already-shipped filters are not provided once the filter has been delivered, except in the cases above. You can always cancel future renewals to stop being billed.
- Installation. If the technician can't complete the install due to our error, we'll refund the install fee. If access can't be granted or the equipment doesn't match what you ordered, a $25 trip fee may apply.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal or to harm others.
- Resell our filters or installation services without permission.
- Attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use scraping, bots, or automated tools without written permission.
9. Account security
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We'll never ask for your password by email. If you suspect unauthorized access, email hello@filterboss.net immediately.
10. Intellectual property
FilterBoss, the FilterBoss logo, and the website design are owned by Miller Innovation Group. You may not use these without our written permission. You retain ownership of any content you submit to us.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While we work hard to ship high-quality filters and book reliable technicians, we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or that filters will catch any specific allergen or contaminant beyond their certified rating.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FilterBoss is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. We'll post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we'll email you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
15. Termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or for non-payment. Sections that should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
